Muslim women tie rakhis to Minister of State Shri Vishwas Sarang

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperatives, Bhopal Gas Relief and Rehabilitation Shri Vishwas Sarang’s Raksha Bandhan Mahotsav became a centre of attraction when women of ward no. 44 in colourful turbans entered the tent and tied rakhis to Shri Sarang with photos of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The rakhis also had the photo of BJP National President Shri Amit Shah. The rakhis were made by the women themselves. They had made these rakhis to express their gratitude for the works being done for women. Earlier Shri Sarang participated in the Raksha Bandhan Mahotsav in ward no. 77 at Durga Mandir premises in Devkinagar at Karond in the morning.

Excitement among Muslim women

While thousands of women reached the venue of Raksha Bandhan Mahotsav today amidst great enthusiasm and enjoyed the fair, Muslim women were also seen tying rakhis to the minister with great zeal. They registered their presence in a large number.

The Mahotsav had amusement facilities like swings, bounces, Mickey Mouse and Jumping Jam giving the celebration the form of Anand Mela. There were medical camps and mehndi stalls too.

Among those present at the programme organized at ward no. 44 in Old Subhash Nagar’s Netaji Subhash Sport Ground were Smt. Ruma Sarang, Mayor-in-Council Shri Manoj Choubey, Shri Mahesh Makwana, Corporators Shri Hemraj Kushwaha, Smt. Geeta Tomar, Shri Upendra Tomar, Shri Pappu Rai, Shri B.S. Rajput, Shri Pradeepsingh Shekhawat etc. Local corporator Mayor-in-Council Smt. Manjushri Barkiya welcomed the guests.

Rakshabandhan Mahotsav in Karond on Sunday

A raksha bandhan mahotsav has been organized at ward no. 79 from 2 p.m. at Sardar Patel School in Karond on August 13, Sunday.
